The mechanical testing department prides itself on a quick turn around of results coupled with a quality service and prompt reports. MIS experienced staff will be able
to help and advise you on your mechanical testing requirements.

The mechanical testing department has all the equipment and expertise necessary to carry out all types of metals and weld testing. Using the low load machine, MIS can carry out tensile, tear, shear and peel tests on rubbers, plastics and their bonded joints. Conveyor belting testing can also be carried out.

All machining to prepare test samples is carried out in the MIS machine shop.

Our on site machine shop gives MIS the ability to produce test jigs and fabricate items to enable the testing of unusual and non standard test pieces.

The testing machines can be used to test an array of materials. MIS has tested seatbelts, carbon fibre, ceramics, bricks, roof tiles, stepladders, exercise bike, etc.
